Dear U12 and U10 Families,
Below is a reminder on this weekend’s schedule, plus details for Saskadena 6 for the U12s on Saturday. Please be sure you have registered your athlete – if you are ever unsure, click the link for the registration and take a look at the participant list on that page. If your athlete isn’t there, they aren’t registered.
All other info from my last email still stands, except it looks like the athlete meeting for the Quechee SL Camp may be moved up to 8:30 am for tomorrow. Just plan on 8:30 am and if it’s 8:40, you’ll be early. Again refer to the email sent 1/28 for all other details.

Saskadena 6 Race Day Details – 2/1:
Saskadena Six is a small ski area that is lots of fun and an easy place to race. You can watch the race without skiing. Their lodge is small though, so please be aware of this!
Coaches will pick up the bibs and tickets for our whole team. Athletes should meet coaches inside of the lodge at 8 am to get their bib and lift ticket and then be dressed and ready to ski and meet the coaches at 8:10 am outside of the lodge ready to load the lift. Inspection is from 8:15-9 am.
First run starts at 9:30 am. The course will be re-set and there will be a second run inspection – listen to coaches for timing. Second run will start shortly after inspection in reverse running order. There will be 30 minutes of untimed training runs after the completion of second run. Awards will be about 20-30 minutes after the completion of the race on the deck of the Ski Runners Clubhouse (on the opposite side of the lift from the lodge).
$75 parent lift ticket if you want to ski – can be purchased at the ticket window. Again, you don’t have to ski to see the race….in fact you can actually see it from inside the lodge :)!
Directions to Saskadena Six: From Ludlow, take RT 100 N. When you enter Plymouth, turn right onto Rt. 100A. When this dead ends at RT 4, take a right. Watch for cops when the speed limit drops in Bridgewater! Continue until you enter Woodstock – watch your speed here too. Just past the green, take a left onto RT 12. You will go over a little bridge and then bear right. After a mile or so, you will come to a fork in the road. Go right at the fork. (there are signs for Saskadena Six at this point) Go another few miles and you will come to Saskadena Six on the left hand side. OBEY SPEED LIMITS EVERYWHERE – lots of speed traps esp. in and around Woodstock. It takes about 50 minutes to get there from downtown Ludlow.
Thanks,
Mariel
