Need-Based Scholarship
Winter 2021-2022
Open to athletes participating in the Okemo Mountain Competition Programs for Alpine, Freestyle and Snowboarding. Preference will be given to Vermont residents.
Applicants should have an avid interest in Alpine Racing, Freestyle Skiing or Snowboarding competition. These are rigorous programs, requiring a significant commitment of time and energy from the participant and the parents or guardians. Applicants should be able to demonstrate their commitment to their sport.
Applicants should be in grades 6-12.
This program is intended for families for whom it would not otherwise be possible to participate in the weekend competition programs or for whom it would pose a significant hardship. The funds are to be used for Program Registration Fees, equipment, race/comp fees, training camps and related travel.
Award amounts are to be determined based on demonstrated need and club resources. Applying for the scholarship is no guarantee of funds being granted.

A committee consisting of members of OMARA whom do not have current athletes competing in the Okemo Programs and representatives of the Okemo Competition Center, will review applications.
