Hello everyone, We hope you all are having a great summer! Winter is around the corner and Fit day is coming up quickly. Please do not be afraid to reach out to your coaches regarding questions on equipment. We are happy to take time to make sure you are set up properly. Getting the right gear is the foundation for an enjoyable and successful season! Here is the info:
The Annual Okemo Fit Day (featuring alpine ski, freestyle/freeski, and snowboard equipment) is scheduled for Sunday, September 12th from 9 am – 1 pm on the Okemo Mountain School Front Lawn at 53 Main St in Ludlow (rain location: Jackson Gore Ice House). Though the event goes until 1 pm, please plan to arrive no later than 12 pm so that you have adequate time to browse equipment – the vendors will be packed up by 1 pm. Tthe latest alpine equipment will be there for you and your athlete to take a look at for the upcoming winter. Darkside will be on hand to showcase new equipment and help with ordering snowboards, boots, bindings. Totem Pole and Boot Pro will have an assortment of freestyle and freeski specific equipment and be able to answer questions on ordering. Skis/snowboards will be there in a range of sizes to determine the right length and boots will be available in a range of sizes to try on. Remember to bring ski/snowboard socks for your athlete! There also will be some poles, goggles, and helmets as well. Please note that you will not place orders directly with the reps for each brand, but with a local shop that carries the brand you want. Local shops will be at Fit Day to process orders should you wish to place them at that time. Remember that our local Ludlow shops will honor race pricing on alpine ski racing equipment for all Okemo athletes who are USSS members. Race pricing represents a significant savings over regular retail. We hope you can join us!
