Hello Athletes and Parents,
Hope you are well and surviving the school/work week. The weather is looking like one of the better weekends we have had this Winter. Some race updates, the U14 MVC SG Race has been rescheduled for Sunday 2/25! Thank you to Okemo for making that happen for us. I also got word that we can have anyone who wants to race in the SVC SG Race attend on Friday. Make sure to register soon, it could fill up depending on interest. Anyone that would like to race the Tri-Council SG at Stowe (2/26) is welcome to attend. Everything has been updated below under upcoming events.
Friday 2/2 VARA GS Terrain Camp
The schedule is attached. We will meet athletes at A/B at 8:50 for bibs and 9am lift load. Camp should be wrapped up around 3pm, depending on conditions and energy levels as we get into the afternoon.
Saturday 2/3 SL Training
Theme – Outside ski to outside ski, active weight transfer with flexed ankle
11:00AM- Meet U14 coaches on the work road at the top of Wardance
11:10-12:30PM-
-Run 1 Falling leaf on pitch, whirly birds on the flats, outside ski slide turns tip on the snow (SG radius turns), Dave’s spleen to lift
-Run 2 Falling leaf on pitch (opposite side from R1), whirly birds on the flats 5 each direction, outside ski slide turns tip on the snow, Dave’s spleen to lift
-Run 3 two ski traverse on pitch, downhill edge traverse on flats, free ski Dave’s Spleen to lift
-Run 4 outside ski slide turn
-Run 5 outside ski turns carving
-Run 6 40 edge sets with pole plants each side, Free Ski rest of the trail
12:30-12:45PM- Water/snack break
12:45 – 3:30 PM- Inspect and run Training environment

Sunday 2/4 Killington MVC SL Race
The race announcement is attached. We will be on Swirl, which is on Ramshead. Sounds like Highline has another event happen on it on Sunday. We will meet outside the K1 Base lodge at 7:40 for bibs and tickets. Then head over to Swirl about 8am for 8:30- 9:30am inspection, 9:50am Forerunners, 10:00am Race Start
