U12 and U10 Weekend of 3/11 and 3/12 + Post Season

Hello U12 and U10 Families,
First of all, a big congrats to the U12s for winning back the BOOT and bringing it home for the summer!  Way to battle it out in dual GS at Middlebury!  So many medal winners: Nina Garbarino 1st, Kate Goodrich 7th, Hayden Nelson 8th. Michael Amato 1st, Kieran Shea 3rd, Gabe Dawkins 4th, Michael Caruso 8th, Chase Poodiack 10th.
Check out some awesome pictures taken Sunday by Isabelle Vagell’s dad, Mike.  Thanks Mike for the pics!

So much info here, so please read carefully.
U12 Post Season Qualification Update – attached is a spreadsheet with boys and girls on separate tabs showing who is going to which event. Please check this out.  Please note that a few more in the “alternates” range may make Meisterschaft, but we are working through the alternates still.  Of note, Meisterschaft will be held both days at Magic since Willard is closed.  Details to come next week.  Also, the SL Project will be moving to West Mountain, in Queensbury, NY.  Updated details to come, but project will still include lodging, meals, etc.
This Weekend…
Please note you must be logged into adminskiracing for a payment/registration option to appear at any of the links below!  Please sign up by Thursday if you are intending to sign up for any of those so I can plan staffing-wise.  Also, races may fill up, so the sooner the better! Unlike normal MVC races you must register your child yourself for these races – I will not enter them. No need to email me to let me know where your child is going this weekend – I will look up the entries on adminskiracing.com.

Saturday, March 11th options:
1) Slush Cup at Suicide Six.  This race is open to U10s and U12s and is a fun day.  We will meet athletes at 8:10 am in front of the lodge.  Registration is in the Ski Club building (to right of lift) at 7:30 am.  This is a Stubby SL race.  Enter online here: https://www.adminskiracing.com/node/96731
2) Sun Mountain Showdown at Bromley GS Race.  This race is open to U12 and U14s.  We will meet athletes at 8:30 am at the bottom of the Alpine Chairlift.  Attached is an info sheet – please read for more details AND a waiver they require.  Enter online here: https://www.adminskiracing.com/node/65486
3) Training at home: U10s and U12s freeski SL.
Sunday, March 12th options:
1) Sun Mountain Showdown at Bromley SL Race.  This race is open to U12 and U14s and is FULL gate SL. We will meet athletes at 8:30 am at the bottom of the Alpine Chairlift.  Attached is an info sheet – please read for more details AND a waiver they require. Enter online here: https://www.adminskiracing.com/node/65487
2) U10 Skills Day and Team Dual Panel SL at Pico. This IS a regular MVC event – I am entering all U10s (please let me know if I should NOT enter your child). I am waiting on some details from the organizers, but plan on a 7:30 am registration (same drill as the last few times we have gone to Pico).  Athlete meeting likely at 8:30 am.  Will confirm details!
3) Training at home: Full gate SL for U12s
Looking ahead:
Saturday 3/18: Piche’s, Meisterschaft, or “Devo Olympics”/GS at Home
Sunday, March 19th: Piche’s, Meisterschaft, “Devo Olympics”, or Okemo GS open to U12s and U14s. Register here: https://www.adminskiracing.com/node/64965 Last day of regular training.
Saturday, March 25th: End of the Season Awards with Parent vs Athlete Race and an On-Snow Demo of next year’s race equipment!
Sunday, March 26th: Matt Harnett Memorial Race at Killington.  This race is also open to U10s and U12s, as well as U14s.  It is a Dual Panel SL, but GS skis will likely be best for most of our kids…we will decide later.  Again you must register your own child for this race https://www.adminskiracing.com/node/65099. This is another fun race – lots of prizes and fun racing!
Ok that’s all for now…again I will send more details for the U10 Skills Day, but everything else is set.
