Weekend Update: Big Comp on Nor’Easter, Little Comp on Hot Dog Hill … and more

* Eastern Freeride VT Open; Sat and Sun 1/11-12
Come watch some of the best Freeriders compete on Nor’Easter in the USSA Eastern VT Open.  Twists, spins, big air and rails.   Due to expected rain and wind,  the Saturday event has been moved to Sunday.  (A double competition will occur.).   

* Ski Patrol Sweep; Sat 1/11
Close the mountain with Ski Patrol at 4pm as they do their end of day sweep! Space is limited to the first 8 guests, sign up in advance*. Skiers or riders must be comfortable on variable condition snow and able to ski or ride black level terrain or higher. [email protected]   (THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!)

* Grommet Throwdown; Sat 1/11
It’s time for the little jibbers to show off and be safe! This event is for kids 13 & under. Meet at 10am in Hot Dog Hill. Spend the morning training and learning proper park etiquette in the rail garden with the guidance of some of our park instructors. Then show off what you learned after lunch. Registration is at 12:30 and contest at 1pm. There will be music blasting and prizes to win.

* Vermont Academy Day; Sat 1/11
Vermont academy will be on-site passing out literature and discussing enrollment opportunities at Jackson Gore 8 am – 3 pm .
