We’ll be skiing all terrain on the mountain, periodically training some stubbies and brushes on Wardance, and getting some time training on the NASTAR course. We will also have five races during the season, schedule will be posted in the next couple of weeks.

Sixth Annual Okemo Mountain School Winter Festival: Saturday, February 13th

Tuesday, January 19th, 2016

Dear Friends of Okemo Mountain School,

I wanted to take a moment to invite you all to the Sixth Annual Okemo Mountain School Winter Festival onSaturday, February 13th, 2016 from 7 – 10 pm at Willie Dunn’s at the Okemo Valley Golf Club. There will be a great sampling of wines and beers, as well as hors d’oeuvres from local restaurants.  We will have great silent auction items up for grabs and, new this year, the DJ will be playing dancing music to add to the fun!
It is a casual evening meant for mingling with friends, old and new, and enjoying great food and drink. Tickets are $20 in advance (available at OMS, Okemo Guest Services and Administration, and the Wine and Cheese Depot) or $25 at the door and include the wine and beer tasting.   We will also have wine and beer available for purchase.  Bring a friend (or ten!). This event is most appropriate for adults only. Hope to see you all there!
Also, please consider further supporting OMS through our accompanying Winter Festival Fundraising Campaign. See the attached donation form for more details and contact me if you have any questions. You can also click here to donate ONLINE.  Okemo Mountain School is a 501(c)3 and donations are tax deductible.  A donation in any amount is greatly appreciated and makes a great impact!
I hope to see you all on February 13th!
With warm regards,
Mariel

Hopefuls Weekend 1/16 & 1/17

Thursday, January 14th, 2016

We’ve gotten some new snow this week and Okemo has been busy making more and more snow on the mountain so it’s looking like a great weekend. We’ll be training both Saturday and Sunday meeting at the Sugar House at 9 am,, ski until 11 am then ski again from 12-2.

Just a quick reminder to have your children go to the bathroom before our meeting times so we can avoid emergency stops during our sessions. Also, make sure the kids are dressed warmly, send along hand warmers, neck warmers etc. It is often more windy and cold at the top of the mountain than down at the Sugar House.

Thanks for letting us ski with your children and we look forward to seeing everyone out on the hill.
