The OMST competes at Nationals in Copper, CO

OMST 3/3-3/4

Thursday, March 1st, 2012
This weekend is our final USASA event and it will be the slope and pipe at Mount Snow.  Tuna and I will be there on Friday with OMS if anyone would like extra training in both the pipe and the park and it may be beneficial as 1) the pipe is substantially bigger and may take a little time getting used to and 2) rumor has it that the Gulch jumps (Slopestyle course) are a bit bigger in preparation for the upcoming Rev Tour.  We will be meeting in the Carinthia Base Lodge on Friday @ 8:30am and the training fee is $50 and you can catch up with Eric at the Okemo Comp Center this weekend.  Otherwise, plan on meeting coaches @ 7:45am at the Carinthia Base Lodge on both Saturday and Sunday. Quick note: The overall USASA awards and party will be held at the Snow Barn at Mount Snow on Sunday @ 2pm.  It would be great if all our OMST athleteswho have competed in any discipline, attend the party. Tons of free stuff will be handed out as well.
For those of you who are not competing, please follow our schedule by meeting coaches at the Sitting Bull at 8am on Saturday and Sunday.

OMST President’s Week Schedule

Tuesday, February 14th, 2012
We have our last really busy week coming up here in February Break. It begins this Friday 2/17 with the second USASA Rail Jam @ Bromley.  Registration begins @ 8am with the practice starting @ 9am. Tuna and I will be there with OMS if your son/daughter is interested. This weekend, there is a USASA GS/SL @ Bromley on Sunday 2/19 and there will some gate training offered on Saturday 2/18- location yet to be determined.  In addition to our racers, we would like all our athletes to run the course a few times and get comfortable holding an edge at higher speeds.
President’s week training will follow our normal training routine with a meeting time of 8am @ the Sitting Bull.  We will be taking one day off from training in the midweek and will schedule this around the weather.  It will be either Wednesday or Thursday.  For those of you who are competing in the USASA Slopestyle and Pipe events on Feb 25th/26th @ Okemo, please make sure to take full advantage of next week’s training!

OMST 2/11-2/12

This weekend we will have our regular training at Okemo in addition to the BX #3 and BX #4 Finals on Saturday and Sunday @ Bromley.
For those of you competing in the Boardercross, Betsy and Chrissy will be coaching on Saturday 2/11 and Chrissy and I will be coaching the finals on Sunday 2/12.  Our meeting time is @ 7:30am in the Bromley Base Lodge on both days.  Please make sure to have a good tune and hot wax prior to the event and if your son/daughter needs a base grind/structure please make sure to do so as well.  Just ask the shop crew at either Darkside or Mountain Riders if you need one and they’ll hook it up. 

For those of you who are not competing, we will follow our normal training schedule with an 8am meeting time @ the Sitting Bull.  Also, expect a lot of pipe this weekend as everyone has some catching up to do!  We have two weeks for everyone to dial in some new tricks before the next pipe event here at Okemo.  Now is the time to really start pushing it!!!
