U16/U19 Training 12/2 – 12/3

This coming weekend will likely be the first day on snow for many of you. Our primary goal is simply to get some miles on snow. We will be on SL skis both Sat. and Sun. working on fundamental drills. We will meet at 8:15 at the base of the Black Ridge Triple next to the yurt. We will ski 8:30 to 11:30. Lunch will be from 11:30 to 12:30. Then we will continue skiing until 2:00. If it is your first time of the season, please make sure your bindings are at least set to the correct boot length that you will be using. Common sense yes, but I see it every season and we end up losing time on snow. Although training space for drill courses is not yet confirmed, be prepared with proper gear to run brushes, stubbies, and possible full gates. WE ARE MEETING AT THE BASE OF THE SOLITUDE LIFT AT 7:25 SHARP BOTH SAT. AND SUN FOR A SL GATE/DRILLS TRAINING BLOCK ON LOWER SAPPHIRE TRAIL. ATHLETES WILL NEED TO BE DROPPED OFF AT THE BASE OF THE SOLITUDE QUAD WHICH IS ABOVE EPIC RESTAURANT IF YOU ARE UNFAMILIAR. (MAP ATTACHED WITH CIRCLED LOCATION) THIS WILL BE AN AWESOME BLOCK OF TRAINING!

ALSO AN IMPORTANT THE EARLY LIFT OPPORTUNITY IS TO BE RESPECTED AND LOADED WITH COACHES PRESENT. BE AWARE THAT THERE WILL BE GROOMERS AND SNOW MACHINES ON THE MOUNTAIN AND POSSIBLE TRAIL CLOSED ROPES. PLEASE PROCEED WITH CAUTION TO OUR VENUE ON LOWER SAPPHIRE.
